Eigen Woning Plan in Willemstad
Eigen Woning Plan (EWP) develops and realizes housing projects on Curacao. These housing projects are the result of a Public Private Partnership with the local government. Within this partnership the government brings in leasehold land and EWP develops new residential areas on this land. The construction of the entire infrastructure is also part of these developments and is done by our sister company Curaçaose Wegenbouw Maatschappij (CWM).
Shortening the waiting list
The government draws up conditions for these developments, among other things for the target group of the projects. These projects are intended for the stimulation of home ownership and only serve the local population and especially the less well-off. Many of them have been on a waiting list of the government for years, which the government wants to shorten with this cooperation.
In recent years EWP has realized and completed 481 houses and has recently started the sale of a new project with 149 houses.
